Bull kelp is one of my favourite weaving materials. I’m fascinated of this annual sea vegetable that can grow up to 2 feet in one day and to a total length of up to 80ft. in a season! The beautiful colours and textures are a joy to weave into different whimsical forms. Once a kelp basket is completely dry it takes on a life of it’s own, which makes each vessel truly unique.
